If I were buying a Doo I would get standard gauge & add a Garmin tread.
At this point we need all 3 to buddy track everyone lol.

So I mounted a trail tech to my doo it works great for buddy tracking. but I use the SUPER HUGE gauge for my actual navigation/map as its just so much nicer to look at lol... at least that part wont require my phone anymore.

Even if doo adds useful buddy tracking if it doesn't talk to trail tech / polaris.. whats the point. I don't even know anyone with a big gauge on a doo other than me.

When it comes to radios, and channel usage, there is no standard, especially in different countries.
Trail tech does not work in some countries BTW.
My baofeng radio along with my eyes, is my buddy tracker.

Baofeng is chinah.
I always try to avoid chinah.
Chinah is our enemy.

Now I gotta look at my radios and make sure I am practicing what I'm preaching!

Edit: Damn! my Motorolas are made in chinah.

They are all made in chinah other than a few Midlands I think are still made here but mostly ones for your car.

BTECH is in South Dakota though, designs radios there but they are made in china and are similar to the beofengs ( share parts I'm sure )

I would bet trail tech and oxbow are made in chinah also.

My dealer said the GPS dongle was $115 and would be available as of April 1. Hmmm, that date makes me wonder if that's a real date.
