Just a heads up for the Polaris guys. We have been running an Arctic Cat belt on the Pro RMK and a few 800 RMKs for the past year with awesome results. You need to adjust your deflection slightly, but it seem to pull harder, adds 100-200 rpm on the top, last longer, and they are half the price of the Polaris belts.

PM me if you have questions.

or
i'm gonna try the kevlar gates belt, since its got the best price for me;) but if that doesn't work out will be going to the cat belt. with poo belts at $150+, fuel filters at 120+, i'll be broke before i even hit the pow just doing preseason maintainence:( i know they have to make up for all the d8 motors they had to replace, but aren't they making enough selling 15k razors???????????

I hear ya. We have run the Gates belt on various sleds with mixed results. The Dayco belts work, but wear a little quicker....the nice thing is you get a warranty.

Ive always run Dayco belts on my old doos w great luck
Only thing is i measure them before i buy them
They were always way out of spec and would differ from belt to belt

I used to get them for $50/belt 2 yrs ago

Poo belts r really $150!!!!?????? Whoa.....

I ran the cat belt on my turbo IQ last year with good results, I do not see why it should be any different for the Pro. I bought one to use as a spare belt for my new Pro.

I'll have to check to see what the number is but I have a spare belt that came off a cat... That would be sweet if it worked in the pro

I have also been recommending the 048 cat belt for almost 2 years in different threads. Some people seem to think if they spend more money on a belt it has to be better because like above people say well I use this belt or that belt yada yada yada! This thread dont ask what belt everyone runs Im sure he dont care, he is simply trying to save a fellow sledder money as I have tried multiple times. The 048 cat belt is 65 ish dollars vrs's the 1115 for 180 ish dollars I know which belt I use and its not the 1115.:face-icon-small-win
Sorry rant over!

Thanks for that.....I will pick up a cat belt. Polaris is getting proud of there parts like Doo and its getting annoying. Cat still seems to be decent about service parts

Yes, many have used this belt so far on the IQ and others that use the 3211115 belt.
I think that Michelle at Oregon Trail has been using them with Brad story for a while as well.

I have some sincere questions that I hope you can answer.

Why use the cat 048 belt when the 080 Poo belt is a bit less expensive than the 048?

Is the Cat 048 a stronger belt than the 080? If so, how/why?

What is the side angle of the belt, belt width and C-to-C length of the 048-Cat belt?

The 3211115 belt was introduced by Polaris (from Mitsuboshi in Illinois) to last thru the nuclear attack that the 900 RMK's could put on the belts.... They are probably not needed on an 800 CFi motor.

Also, you are saying that they last Longer than the 115 belt??

I have been running the 048 cat belt on my turbo d8. No problems at all. I did notice more miles out of the polaris belt though. The cat belt was only 95 bucks at the local dealer
