Curious what the end result was for the sled which was upside down at the top of the Widowmaker. Judging by all the steam/smoke and engine shut-down, it appeared the engine seized after running wide open throttle for a few minutes. It looked like the rider was at the bottom of the hill trying to make his way up and then about 5-10 minutes later we saw someone walking up from the backside.
From below it looked like it was resting upon what was left of the cornice after the avalanche took most of it within the few days prior.
