When replacing S module What grade and size of bolts are you guys using in place of the factory rivets. Quick responce would be appreciated trying to get her rebuilt before vacation next weekend.
 
I pretty sure I used 5/16th x 1 for crossmembers, S module, and other structual stuff and M6 x 1 for E module to tunnel. All grade 8 steel...prolly added 10# lol



Btw...soon this information will cost me money to share (post) and you money to read! **** snowest

I also used the 5/16th for the crossmembers and for the bigger rivets by the shock tower and all through the front end. I believe that I got 3/4inch length though and not 1 inch seemed to fit right.
 
i just did my e module, crossmember and suspension supports and i used 1/4 by 1" grade 8 bolts with washers, lock washers, nyloc nuts and ed loc tite. sounds like over kill but being under the motor i dont ever want to tighten them. if you use 1/4" you dont have to drill the holes out bigger and they will be plenty strong for a sled.
