What are some symptoms of a BAD STATOR? Please list

I am having problem with my cutler 05 dragon 1000 opening up past 6000. I have been told by some that it may be the stator and by others it definetely is not the stator. What are your opinions before I spend 2++bills on a new one and what symptoms have you expereinced when your stator is going out or bad. Please list and thansk for your help

Just replaced the stator in my 07 M1000. Symptoms were...... Would start and idle fine. Crack the throttle and it would rev to about 4800 rpm, just enough to keep it moving. Then would go into stuter mode.(almost like a rev limiter, or fould plug) wouldnt clean up. "AND NO CODES" Ohmd the stator and found #1 charge coil bad(4.7 ohms). Should be 7.2 to 10.8 ohms for my 07

Some of your electrical stuff wont work.
Good luck, let us know what you find. It is starting to sound like a stator.

My 07 M1000 would not turn above 6000,same as yours, was the stator for sure.

Rixter.. all my electrics worked. Was just not enough voltage to make it run at RPM. And NO CODES! That was the kicker.
