I did it.. Never thought I would go away from hoyt, renegade, or ross...

I just bought a new Bowtech General.. Wow.. what a sweet shootn bow.. :D:D:D

Outfitted it with a spot hog full wrap all green .10's pins.. :D.. limbjacker drop away. outfitter bow legs.. and some other personal goodies..

Well now if I can just get a +350 class bull to set in front of it <60 yards...... :D

What is everybody else shooting???

NICE!!! Welcome to the Club!

I'm shooting a Gaudian before that a Diamond Black Ice, Bowtech Defender and a Bowtech Constitution in Chrome for my Target Bow back when I had time to shoot competitively.

cool.. I shot a guardian last year.. they are nice.. but didnt out shoot my ross.. and for the speed of them.. they have horrible valleys on the cams.. might as well shoot their 82nd.. IMO.. They definatly fixed it with the general.. :D

If you really know the bowtechs and how to maximize their performance you can take care of most of the issues but it does take time.

First thing to do is to change the strings and cables to a more consistant fiber such as the ones that Winners choice and Vapor Trail use also with the WC and VT strings they are much more durable, and "hand tied" instead of the high-speed mechanized machine that bowtech is now using. They used to use VT's until they got popular enough that VT couldn't keep up with production for them.

The Cams need to have the smooth mods installed in my opinion as I'm much more concerned with smoothness, accuracy, and sound than speed. but each have their place.

I shoot a 6 year old Hoyt Raptor. Definitely need a new bow, I'm just undecided on what I want to buy. Thinking of staying with Hoyt

Everybody wants a 350 class bull to walk in at less than 60 yards:D Good luck on that

I shoot an 8-year old PSE lightning one-cam and it's outdated. Man is technology moving fast or what?...it still shoots awesome tho...:D

I have been shooting my Hoyt powertech 2 ever since I bought it like 8-9 years ago. I love this bow. I know there are newer and nicer ones out there, but I never miss with this one.. Ok.. maybe 1 time, but it was the deer's fault. they arent supposed to move.. lol.

For the guys that are shooting 6, 7, or 8 year old bows I highly reccomend going to your pro shop and shooting a new Bowtech, Hoyt, or Mathews. The Technology has come so far in the last few years that they don't even compare.

I'm not going to get into Brand bashing on the archery Equipment It's obvious by my previous posts that I like the Bowtechs and thats strickly due to what fits me, and how well they treated me when I shot competition. Also much like sleds a good dealer means everything when something goes wrong.

Yeah, Ive played around with some of the new ones, I guess, I am just happy with what I have. I have buds that buy a new bow every year, and I still out shoot most of them, so until then.... lol.

Mathews switchback XT here. I like it.

Bowtech is a nice bow also.

I have video of a 350+ bull somewhere that i took last year. Took it right at daylight as he was pushing his group of cows (about 40) out of the alfalfa field up the mountain. Chasing away the smaller bulls trying to pick off some cows and screaming like a madman. I cannot think of a more perfect way to enjoy the sunrise then that. I will see if i can dig it up the video.

Thats No chit right there my old mathews z-max was the badest thing out there when I bought it .I shot a new switchback the other day and its better all the way around! i thought my bow was quiet but that thng is near silent!and light as hell!

I live so far away from the good dealers. I have to find one in Denver, probably. I might try hitting the CBA Jamboree in July and seeing what dealers show up there!

Smooth mods installed.. and have a winners choice custom string..

Hey, snow knight, does that bowtech shoot better than a new hoyt?
Yes it does.. I have been shooting hoyt's for a lot of years.. sponsored for 4 of them.. dont have the time now.. but still like them.. went and shot the new katara.. nice.. but there isnt a big enough technology change from their bows of 3 years ago IMO

PJ.. try the new bowtechs.. they are amazing
I shoot a mathews switchback XT. There are 360 bulls in SD?!:face-icon-small-win
Yes there is two killed last year went 372.. 370 3/8.. gross

Mathews.. people still shoot those things .. haha :D

I can get you one at a crazy good price.. :D

I'm yankin a Ross 334 right now... I love this bow... the price was excellent and the draw cycle is as smooth as anything out there... I shot a gaurdian and if i had the cash that's what i'd get... bowtech is makin some fine bows these days... rumor has it that they are buying up Ross... I'll be a happy camper!!!

All right this will get some smiles, Still shooting my browning Mirage that I got for my 12th bday in 92. Every year I say it is getting replaced and every year it sticks around. Its not fast by any means, maybe loud, heavy, but I know where to hold at any dis. with it cause Ive been shooting it for so long. This might be the year it gets retired thought. At last count its at 371 grouse, 8 deer, 3 elk and a few carp but I never kept track with them:D

So I should trade up my antique Darton Lightning that is extremely accurate and lethal, not anytime soon. But those short limbs do look nice. Just as soon as this one misses a P&Y, it will be hanging on the wall.:D

my brother gave me his old clearwater bow its set up for like 70#'s and he got me some carbon arrows. im pretty happy with it
