That is what you should do.

But the zerk would go in place of the small banjo bolt that's in the middle of the case, I drilled and tapped the one on the right side of the case in the picture.

Pull your skid plate off and get a god look at the underside of the case. You should have a pretty good idea of what to do then.

I don't trust grease Zerks not to leak. So I would install the 6mm zerk, grease it then remove the zerk and install a 6mm plug.

Follow the line from that the pump thing you took a picture of on your sled. Where that line goes into the crank......that's where you would put a zerk.

What the previous owner did to your sled essentially does the same thing as having a zerk there and greasing it regularly.

That goes right to the shaft? And he jut used oil, is that fine, and is there anything else to do or is it good to go?

The left side of the line snowmow has is what goes to the shaft. You can do like snowmow said, and remover bolt, insert zerk, grease and insert bolt again... probably the safest thing to do, but most of us have zerks and no issues.

I'm not a fan of drilling like he did myself, but mostly because I prefer nto to get chunks of aluminum into my motor... my sleds never run well on aluminum. :D

Drilling it with a shop vac at the tip of a new sharp bit dipped in grease The risk is non existent.

So is that banjo fitting a stock piece from your pump? I was told at some point that those don't just flow freely. They need something like 7 lbs of pressure to flow. If that is true then I am not sure what you have there would even work.

Your misinformed. You can blow threw it. It is supposed to be a one way valve though. It works. No question about it.

Good, I have never tried to blow threw one ore really even messed with them except to take them off. And i most likely I am mixing those up with some other part.

I Have heard the one way valve has stuck open on some. It more of just extra insurance anyway. Once you got the premix circulating through the system all is good.

So you have the block off plate where the oil pump used to be. And a zerk where the banjo bolt used to be???? If this is the case then yes. Just grease once a season before start up. Or however much you want. Grease is only used as insurance the center section has lubrication untill the premix is running through the system

haha!
thats one amazing setup! feel free to remove the turkey injector syringe!
if i were you i would just adapt a grease zerk to the end of a longer hose and mount it somewhere easy to get to. you don't have to use grease, you can load a grease gun with oil and pump it in. its whatever you prefer. still curious what the bottom of your case looks like.

this is the new model that doesn't have a zerk or need to be lubricated.
but you NEED to drop your skid plate and see how the center section is getting lubricated!!! could have a y fittting and the turky injector could be oiling both, could be drilled and tapped like the picture i posted of mine. drop your skid plate and take a picture of the bottom
