Been helping my buddy put together a turbo kit for his dragon, sourced most of the parts for him and helping him weld up the stuff we did ourselves.

Thanks to

Justin Silber - lots of oddball parts, oil tank, clutching, etc.
Dobeck performance - fuel solution
kPa turbos - ball bearing goodness.
2cool air vents - fresh air for setup

Here is the breakdown.

Wahl Bros anti-ratchet drivers
KPA 2871 ball bearing turbo
silber's clutching, turbo inlet, charge tube, and airbox
2cool shock tower and knee vents to keep this thing cooled down a bit.
DIY Gen3 fuel controller so we can setup and do custom programming to get the thing exaclty how we want it to run.:face-icon-small-coo
3" stainless bellydump downpipe

some pics of the progress.

everything all bolted in! (never snapped a pic once we trimmed the downpipe)
we also moved the stock exhaust delfector to the downpipe to prevent bogging.

Can you give more info about the diy dobeck box? what is needed to have the program and use it. Also did you make the oil tank roll over valve or does silber sell them?

why arent you puting that motor in the tubie??
its not mine and he doesnt have the $$ to build one;)

Jeepin... http://diytuningsolutions.com/

you get a programmer and a powerlab account so you can adjust the zones, functions, etc and can make the tuneups yourself. Its can be a lot to understand at first but if you spend the time its got some very powerful software/interface for a piggyback system. and $300-325 for programmer, account and controller, hard to say no to.

we made the outlet dongle. pretty easy to rig up. and used some scrap stuff. think it cost like $2

it looks just like a normal outlet donge, we just slightly overdrill the tube to put a ball bearing that doesnt fit throught the turbo side and you put the pin to keep the ball in. this way when you roll, it sits on the turbo side and keeps the oil from pouring back in unrestricted.

Don't forget the camera if you get it out this weekend.

Is this similar to the 900 turbo Josh had?
