Looking for real world comparison of the 300lx vs composite m770 on a stock 850 Khaos. I’m going to swap my stock 2.75 after break in. I want more durability and hook up. The new Freeride track is also an option I guess, but likely quite a bit more money.

300lx is better foe lighter snow. The m770 is really stiff and bits lik3 crazy. It definitely trenches more if the snow starts getting sugary but in thick more coastal powder I think it's hard to beat.

Fwiw I read a lot of threads on here and just ordered the 300lx yesterday and it was on my doorstep tonight. Mine is for a boost, but the 2.75 has about 10 lugs torn or missing at under 700 miles

is the freeride track the same as the lynx?
looking like it bolts right up? 3.5" pitch, 15" wide?

The new doo track is working the best out of all the tracks. But it's the most money

everytime composit tracks are debated I have to go look to see which one it is, man they have a lot of tracks. Is the M700 a new one? looks kinda mean, and lighter, only a 2.8" tho, not tryin to de-rail.

2023 the doo track was different then the Lynx, doo was a new pattern and a better track. 2024 freeride track is a 15 wide version of the 2023 new doo track. Not sure if Lynx is running the new track in 2024.

Yes 2024 Lynx will have the new track also, same as 2024 Freerides. 2023 Lynx track was not that durable.

is this the correct part number for the new track?
some parts houses list it as 16" some 15" 🤷🏻‍♂️

I put on the Conqourer 280 on my Matrix 850 Khoas
The track is a 155 x 15 x 2.8 Paddles 3.5 Pitch so uses stock drivers, it weighs the same as my stock track (according to my bathroom scale)
It has 2 draw backs
1 - In deep snow if you hammer it from a dead start it will trench more on take off (just use a little throttle control for this)
2 - My Buddies say they can't see the trail when riding behind me as it throws more snow then any track I've ever seen (Like plastic paddles did)

I have had NO paddle issues, but I do NOT death run it down the trail or spin it to the dirt when stuck

What I will say is there is NO COMPARISON in traction and forward momentum compared to the 2.75 Polaris track. It makes jumping logs or creeks way easier too.

Below is pics of the New track and then the 2.75 Polaris to compare.

So is it worth it to put a 300lx on over the 2.75, I'm not worried about the durability, I'm more curious if there is enough of a difference on a 850 na. I ride in Montana and Wyoming. Thanks

I think the composit tracks are the most durable but heavy.
My experience with the 2.75 Polaris track is it’s not very good in the heavier snow Whistler, Revelstoke, Washington but seems to work pretty good in MCCall. I swapped to the lynx track and it definitely hooks up better after the swap on my 9R Khaos 155 I had to install the PRO limiter strap. I really liked that setup. On my khaos boost 155 the lynx track made it a wheelie monster.

Where do you ride? Average snow conditions? That makes a difference to track selection/ suitability.

100% had a buddy here in bozeman throw a 300lx on his 850 155 khaos. Night amd day performance difference. Tons more go. Lots less spin.
