So Skidoo doesn't sell the semi-synthetic oil that I have always used. Should I now use the synthetic or mineral oil in my 2009 800XP Summit X.

I too am not happy Doo is not making this oil.
You will be fine with the full synthetic. I am no sure what oil I will run but I suspect it will end up being the Doo synthetic when I run out.....

did the first year on blend
from there on regular shell 2stroke oil
went 4000 k before the clutch side rod bearing went

Been using Amsoil
Interceptor for 15 yrs. No build up on Raves, doesn't smell bad, engines last and oil is much cheaper ($15 per gal). That's with 5 new sleds and various older ones. The only Ski-doo oil I've used is what came in the sleds

X2 with the amsoil. Cheaper than doo oil per jug, less carbon build up. Running amsoil for 6 years now an no issues.
all I use in my sled is skidoo mineral oil ,all 800's and 872's, never have had a problem since 1996 670 days
