I just took ownership of my snow check and I thought the clutching was set up a little funny. "2022 summit 850 turbo expert 154" The clickers are set on 5 and my invoice from the dealer said they installed 903 ramps and 38mm pivot bolts. For those of you at altitude 5000' and above how is your sled set up? What ramps and clicker setting are you using?

I took delivery last week also and thought the same thing…… my clickers were set to 4, the snow was not good but it didn’t over rev. I may run a clutch kit and call it good. Let us know if you get in some good snow and can see how it reacts.
 
The 903 from my experience (not mountain) is that for me it’s too buzzy down low and doesn’t grab the belt. When moving slow and creeping mine would just burn and slip the belt like going through a rabbit trail or moving around gas pumps etc. Just off engagement, having played with the 903 and 994 the 994 acts like a regular NA 850 weight not slipping etc. The idea about the 903 I believe is to allow aftermarket turbos and I guess the oem one at higher elevations to rev quickly through the dead spot in the bottom. Personally I’m not a fan of the characteristics of the 903.

Anyways have had very good luck working with Joe @ibackshift he’s got the turbo figured out I can tell ya that. In my useage area Joes clutching let’s me spot my mule 5 lengths I can catch and pass it in 500-600’ I’d say it’s laying the power down!
 
I also am very happy with iBackshift’s clutching. Just through breakin, and haven’t had to adjust anything from the get go. Almost no belt dust to be found.
 
224 miles and 30% break-in remaining, the clutching seems good as delivered with the clickers set on 1. Will need some good snow to really sort things out but so far no issues.
 
I’ve run Big John’s kit on my stock turbo, and tuned stage 2. It’s been spot on from 6000’ to 11000’.

0-3000k @ 951 ramps
3~10k @ 994 ramps
10~12k @ 903 ramps.

2022 x 850T [this one truly makes me shake my head]
0-4k @ 994 ramps 19.8g + 9mm clicker 3
4k~6k @ 994 ramps 15.2g + 3mm clicker 1
6k~10k @ 994 ramps 15.2g clicker 1
10~12k @ 903 ramps 38mm + 7mm clicker 5(154) 4(165/175)

I wonder what was the thought processes of the person who made the call for you to get 903 ramps. Was it to get $150 out of you plus installation fee for shop time?

if when you drive the sled and want lower engagement speed,[if you want to stay stock clutching] look me up for a primary spring. Takes your 150 start force [4000ish] engagement down to about 3400.
