Sled won't die....

My 01 RMK 800 will not shut off sometimes when I turn the key off. Sometimes it does and sometimes it sits and sputters for 5-15 seconds then gradually dies. I bought the sled last year and it has done it since I got it. I have installed a tether switch and it will do the same thing with that. It does it about 75% of the time. Kind of a pain in the rear. I have checked as much of the wiring that I could see, without pulling the motor or ?. Anybody have any ideas before I start throwing parts at it? Thanks

check the ground wire betwwen the engine and chassie it is down buy the pull rope housing

X2 on the ground wire, this happend to my wifes cat last year and thats what I found to be wrong with it.
