Sled recovery in Wolf Creek pass area?

There was an avalanche in the Wolf Creek pass area yesterday afternoon that claimed the life of one of our nephews. My brother, his 2 boys and 2 other nephews were riding when this happened. They are in no shape or condition to go after the sleds. I've never been to the area before, kind of looking for information on who to get ahold about getting 2 sleds out. I have very limited information from my brother at this point. Any information on who to contact would be greatly appreciated. From what I've gathered so far is a throttle cable was icing up on one sled and caused it to stick to full throttle. That sled went into a ravine and received significant damage. Nothing has been said about the condition of the other sled.

So sorry for your loss. If I was closer I would help out for sure. I assume you are talking about wolf creek colorado and not wolf creek utah, correct?

Sorry for your loss, as mentioned try the Colorado section. Could try contacting the Southfork Powder Busters, or whoever is doing the Pagosa side grooming.

Thank you everybody for the support and information. We will start making contacts today and try to get a plan togather.

There is a parallel thread going on in the Colorado section. sounds like they were making plans this last weekend but not sure

Contact was made with several very supportive and helpful people. Our plan was that Dooin-it, Joetroop30, myself and a few people were going to look at retrieving the sleds this weekend. Doing-it put a group together and was ready to go at anytime. In the main time a gentleman the was on the call out that night organized a team of 4 people and retrieved the sleds this past Saturday. I have visited with him and was very interesting and helpful conversation. Comment was made to me by another individual that this man was the best one for the job. I will visit more with him as to referencing him in this thread. We cannot thank all the people that have helped us from that area enough. The sleds are safe and secure, so we can pick them up at a later date. Thank you to everyone again.
Wes and family.
