The absolute worst part of having a pet as part of your family.

The time had come, today I chose to take her out of this world.
I have done this before, but I swear this time hurts more than ever.
I have never had this feeling of overwhelming emptiness.

She wasn't feeling too chipper here.
She was recovering from being hit by a pickup. Broken pelvis. At the time I thought that was her time.

Had to put our old friend down this fall. We laughed, we cried.....we said good by.

We had our last lab for 16 years and was the best and smartest dog I've ever known. Was one of the saddest days of my life when we had to put him down. That was 7 years ago and I still can't bring myself to get another one. I feel your pain...
