my new build for this summer is to replace the 800 H.O with a engine tech 1160 in my 06 summit. i got the complete motor with complete ignition, fuel pump and carbs to drop in. its based off a 900 cat bottom end. wondering if anyone else has tackled this same swap looking for some input thanks

1200psi makes an engine plate to do the swap. With carbs you may have jackshaft clearance issues, not sure. I made my own plate, so maybe his allows for more room. Not sure what pipes would work with that engine, either way they'll need to be fitted.

I believe "rsaint" has done a few he is in alberta. I think he's active on here if not he's on S&M. Also for pipes it's tough to go wrong with NPP in Edmonton.

Another member on here 'beels' put a 999 big bore cat in his rev, using 1200psi's plate. He ran crankshop twins on it....you may want to look into how well they would work on the 1160.

Pump Gas: 195 HP and 128 ft/lbs. torque

Race Gas: 205 HP and 132 ft./lbs. torque

With the extra weight of the heavier Cat based motor does it have any advantage over a strong 190 hp 880.would need to see that on the hill

I ran a 860r in my 04 rev. Used all the 04 elec. Made the raves exhaust operated. Used a 800r pipe. Not necessarily the "best" way but it did work.

could you use the 800HO pipe and my dynoport can and carbs etc on the
800R, along with the 04 electronics like you mentioned?, what parts exactly will and wont swap from HO to the R engine????

not trying to hyjack, but the Cat 900 BB motor would be a cool swap,
BC kid.. they 900 Cat motor itself is a powerhouse, buddy of mine loved his til he got into a tripple Thundercat then the M Series, Goodluck.

Probably best to start a new thread for a 800r swap.
The 1160 is more down my line. I like to do one off builds.
Still trying to figure out how to get a poo 1200 based trip in my xp.
