My primary clutch on a 09 800 Dragon will not come off, have used heat and put grease on end of puller but no luck. How much torque can I put on the puller ?
Do not want to use a hammer, I have been told I might damage the crank.
I had one person tell me to turn the sled on it's side and fill the hole with 80 - 90 wt, has any one done it that way before ? I would think it might make a big mess.

Make sure and wrap the threads on the puller heavily with Teflon tape or it won't work!!! Needs to seal as you screw it in!
I use water, Sled on side method!
You will need to put a fair bit of torque on it but it should come off.

A long breaker bar ... along with what you say.

Wrap a plastic bag around before you go it so when it releases the water or grease sprays in the bag
