Can you park and unload at Rec Springs? I thought there may have been some issue with this in the past. Would like to unload and ride out of there for a day.

Pay parking only at Rec Springs, unless staying at their lodge.
Lots of other, friendly and better parking options to be had. All the rest are FREE parking on the BHills trail system where you can spend your $'s on food and fuel. Trailer parking at the SD GFP maintained Dumont Lot (5 miles south of "Pay to Park Rec Springs", or just trailer up to Trailshead Lodge are great options. I know many many sledders who won't ever go back to Rec Springs until they end the pay parking deal, me included.
