I just purchased a 600 PRO with a Carl's 660 kit in it. I read lots of stuff about gearing down the 800 but I am wondering if this is something that I should be considering for the 660? (Next year of course since there is no snow.) Are people gearing down the stock 600s? If so, how are they working out?

I also have a 660, running 2.5" CE 155", geared down to 2.24:1 with a C3 Belt drive. Works very well - in my personal opinion the Polaris is geared too high out of the box.

Complete C3 conversion

Which gear down kit did you use?
I wasn't happy with the OEM Quick Drive, so I went with a complete C3 Powersports conversion. It worked well on my 280hp turbo sled, so all three sleds in our household use it. No failures in two seasons, pretty much a bulletproof system (my experience thus far).

I geared down my 660 19:42 and it helps a bunch in our wet heavy snow in the Cascades and makes the belts last longer I think. It isn't the fastest sled on the top end but it is snappy.
