So I just found on some Polaris literature that the thermostat for the 850 Patriot is set to open at 100F. My sled might be doing that but when I ride deep snow it runs at 86 F. At this low temperature it gargles off idle and coming down hills during engine breaking. This "fat" condition is not as apparent when the coolant temperature is higher due to lower snow conditions. Can you guys watch your temps and how your Patriots run while engine breaking down hills? Any observations are appreciated as we are trying to figure out if the pipe is just getting too cold or what??
