Got it on the snow finally. It wasn't perfect but for being a completely 1 off engine and not having a baseline for clutching and jetting it wasnt bad! There's still a lot left in it and so far so good! I have more work to do but at this point I'm really happy so far with the way it's working! This was a quick hit at the parking lot turning only 7900 rpm with my buddy who donated some of the parts for this build.

Yes it's loud and sounds absolutely awesome!

That sounds beautiful!!

Great write up and build thanks for sharing

Picked up a nice diamond S mesh hood, it clears the pipes perfectly almost like it was made for this setup, I really like the way it fits and functions.

Just a few tweaks over the summer and it's ready for next winter.

sweet build, question for you. Where do you source your headgaskets from. I have an old PSI 800 triple that i want to put back together and need headgaskets. Is Cometic the only guys or is there someone else that you use

Head gasket or base gasket?

Base gaskets in my case are based on the OEM 900 twin but made by cometic with different thicknesses and cut/matched to fit the porting of the case.

the head uses orings to seal in my setup. Depending on what exactly your engine is or what PSI used it could have a gasket or it could have orings.

If you need specific orings you can source the oring material from a place like mcmaster-carr in straight lengths cut to size and glue the ends together with a special adheasive.
