Oil pump adjustment

I have a brand new 13 600 RMK 144 standard. Checked oil usage it was 2oz per gallon of gas I think it should be closer to 3.2oz per gallon. Brought to dealer for 150 mile inspection/service. He said set from factory can't adjust. THAT'S NOT WHAT I READ ONLINE. I read they can vary significantly.
MY QUESTION I've watched a video by Bikeman Performance how to adjust oil pump on 800 cfi. Would this be the same on my 600 cfi?

I haven't seen a 600 in a few years, but I'm guessing that the linkage is the same. It should be adjustable.

yes your 600 is done in the same manner. It is adjustable. No idea what your 2oz/gal works out to?? FWIW, my '13 600 was at 67/1 when brand new, and I adjusted to app 42/1. The actual adjustment is real easy, the hard part is getting access to that little screw.

2 oz to a gallon would be like 64:1 should be closer to 40:1 which would be 3.2 oz of oil per gallon. I'm going to keep adding oil to gastank till I get this up where I'm comfortable
Sounds like I need to adjust same amount you did, do you remember how many turn up you did?

I thought it was app 2 turns, but I don't really pay attention to how many turns. I use the V-notch as a reference.
V-notch on pump arm lining up to pump body. At the OEM setting, they want it to line up centered with that little boss. Call it the 3 oclock position.
I adjust the screw to get the V-notch a little higher, like the 2:30 position.
Get a good view of the oil pump, then work the throttle watching the oil pump, and you'll see what I mean about the V-notch. (i don't have a pic). Hopefully that makes sense.

Here is a pic. of the adjustment mark.

We turned the oil up on our 2013 800 3 turns. Also changed the oil cap out with xp-s oil cap.

I have said this 2 or 3 times on different posts, If you are going to add oil to the gas, you need to remember that this oil never sees its way into the crankcase, only to the upper piston area and so the most important areas , the crank/rod bearings are still at 60 to 1 or less.
It is easy to adjust the oil pump output after you get the air box off.

You can get at the jam nut and screw with a knuckle and a couple extensions if you remove the hood and side panels.

This is why I want to turn oil up. Adding oil to gas until I get the mixture I am comfortable with to at least keep the top oiled.

I already replaced oil cap with the Doo cap, but thanks for the heads up, checked oil mixture after putting pn Doo cap

So when I turn the adjustment screw, the index mark will move?

That's what I do. Don't need to take anything apart at all. Takes 3 minutes or so. Just make sure you turn it the right way. Clockwise to increase oil usage after you get the jam nut loose. Didn't need a knuckle either. Just press throttle alittle to get easier access to screw.
