Looking at upgrading track on 23 boost. Trying to decide between series 9, 300lx, and lynx. Read a lot on the 300lx being great along with new lynx track. Wondering as guys got more time on 3.25 if there is any comparison.

Series 9 better for lighter snow. (Still a good all around)

Lynx more of a light / dense mix.

300LX is for wet / dense snow.

For the days that matter, 3.25 series 9! I've put over 800 miles a 3.25's between two sleds and 600 miles on a 300LX. The 3.25 wins! It seems durable. I have 600 boosted miles on mine and no ripped or torn lugs. First rides were in December, logs, rocks, gravel etc.. rode until May 30th, again logs rocks gravel...
I've got them in stock

Ive used all 3 on the matyrx, boost and 9R. They are all great tracks. Problem is you're always riding in different snow conditions from one ride to the next. Picking just one track for all around riding, there just won't be a perfect track. Price will be your biggest factor. You can get the 300lx for $1100 on tracks USA, it's hard to find a factory track for less than retail ($1,600ish). On a boost, I'd go 3.25. If price is a limiting factor, I did really like the 300lx.

After reading reviews for days all over the internet, I decided to go with the 15" wide lynx track for my 2023 9r Khaos. Our snow is usually on the lighter side, but come late February/ early March it turns heavy. Based on reviews the Lynx track seemed best suited to a mix of conditions so I figured that was the best route. $300 cheaper than the Polaris 3.25" too.

What's the driver pitch?

i have the 3" ski-doo track. it is essentially the same as the lynx and the 300lx. i had it on my boost last year. i really liked it. i may put it under my 9R this year

Besides 16" and 15" widths, what are the differences between the three? Is the Doo track at 16" a Flex Edge? Are the 15" Lynx and 15" 300lx the same track as each other?

I believe all of the 16" Doo tracks are Flex edge (maybe the one on the expert isn't-but it might be 15" now, can't remember).

15" Freeride and the Lynx track are the same with full width rods.

The 300lx doesn't have the porting slits down the middle like the Doo/Lynx tracks. It didn't use to have quite the same lug pattern, but I just looked and it looks to have the same staggered center lug pattern now that the Doo/Lynx got last year. Even has the mountain peak designs on it now too.

I did find one review that made it seem like the 300lx was a little stiffer than the Doo/Lynx, but can't find anything to substantiate that.

the doo and the lynx track are the same. i think the doo track was from the freeride. both 15" wide.

So looks like 300lx is fully clipped and is not center ported like the Doo/Lynx track. I wonder how much difference that makes.View attachment 426335
I figured having full clips was a plus after years of dealing with ratcheting on the axys sleds.
I cant say enough good things after running my 300lx last year. FIY it will be a bit trenchier so if your not into that stuff its worth loosening up that front track shock. I waited until april of last season to buy it and had a handful of good and not that good snow days into late may and found the 300lx to be far better on the boost. I haven't been in bottomless powder yet but it looks like that's going to happen next week.

I ran the 300LX all last season on my 165 Khaos and it made it a lot more playful. Can't tell if I go any further but it will pull the ski's way easier. The only thing I have noticed is my sled heats up way faster than all the stock track 155s in the group and it seems to hold onto snow in the skid alot more, probably the lack of porting. I have thought about porting the track but not sure if I should get the tool or just cut some windows in the middle.

Reports so far from friends running things have been

300lx seems to be the best all around and price is also a lot mor3 approachable then 3.25.

3.25 is a close second and if sled comes with it not worth changing.

2.75 is worth upgrading as for most guys will provide legit bang for your buck performance increase relative to a lot of "go fast" parts.

My exact experience as well.

I just ordered a 300LX has anyone ported it for snow evacuation? I'm not thinking the large ports we did back in the day, but 1/2" ports alternating rows left and right of center.

I'm in the process of locking down a 155 Khaos NA 850 and want to immediately ditch the 2.75. Having a 300LX already on the 165, the skid packing with snow seemingly more than 2.75 and 3.25 tracks has me wondering about porting as well. I am considering the new Doo track as it's ported and hope it performs like my 300LX with the non staggered center paddle in the bit denser WA snow.

I swapped the 300lx onto my boost last year. Definitely a better track with a ton more traction. I’m probably gonna port it. It holds a lot more snow than the stock 2.75 did.
