PID stands for Parameter Identifier. It's a unique code used in OBD-II (On-Board Diagnostics II) systems to request specific data from a vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU). Think of it as a way to ask the snowmobile's computer for a particular piece of information, like engine temperature or speed.
