NEED BOOTS. HMK BOA vs. KLIM

I have not been able to find any recent comparisons between the new voyager and team HMK vs. the klim's.

We ride aggressive back country and to date I have been wearing Sorel Caribou's which puts me behind the times.

Can I get some opinions from this years boot offerings?

I need them to be warm and waterproof obviously.

I ride with Klim Adrenaline and couldn't be happier, they're stiff enough to cope with technical riding where you stand on the edge and when doing jumps you feel the support around the ankle. The sole grips like a mother on the boards and to this date I haven't been cold on my feet.
I have a few riding buddies who's HMK's have ruptured across the top of the foot and had the Boa mechanism fail on them, but all this was covered by warranty.
On a footnote(!) the Klim's are also good to walk around in, they do not feel lumpy or like a alpine ski boot

I have both HMK and Klim. I prefer the new waterproof HMK lace ups.The wider boot stays on the boards better and floats better when stepping into bottomless powder, Bone dry unlike the older models

I have never worn the Klims but im on my second pair of HMKs, 1st pair went about 6 years, the lace up style, great boot. Picked up a new pair of voyagers last year with the boa system and love em! Very warm, water proof, and great ankle support if you like a stiffer boot. The boa system has worked flawlessly for me.

My friend in Alaska says that they like the HMK with BOA. Anyone have any comparison between the Teams and Voyagers? They are pretty freaking expensive especially when comparing to Klim which are notoriously expensive in general.

Thanks for the comments so far.

Adrenalines for me. I hate big clunky footwear.

Had a pair of the original HMK's that lasted for like 6 years. Was super impressed so I bought a pair of Team BOA's last season. BOA system worked great, but the cover piece on one of the dials broke off. They are also splitting on the top like others have seen and the sole looks worse in one season than the originals did after 6. Same sled the previous 3 seasons, so couldnt attribute it to new boards or anything.

I love my Klim boots. I tried on HMK boots and it felt like I was wearing downhill ski boots. Ny feet stay warm and dry. The best part is they aren't too warm. My feet usually sweat making my socks wet. Not in Klim boots.

Never worn a "snowmobile boot" but have snowboard boots. What is the difference between the design of a sled and board boot? My BOA snowboard boots are less than half the price of the HMK's and I think they are great.

HMK Pro Boa's....still going strong after 6 seasons. Awesome ankle support, very comfy after breaking them in (felt clunky in the store), feet stay warm and dry with light moisture wicking socks.

MotorFist stomper boots for the win! Had plenty of HMK but after my MotorFist I will not be going back!

I'm going into season 3 with my Klim boots. Comfortable, warm, dry, good support...everything I could ask for in a good boot!

I use to always use my snowboard boots, the last few seasons i have used the HMK team lace ups and liked them a lot but i'm going to try the motorfist's this year. Anyone i know that has tried them has said they would never go back to another. I like the idea of them not being so bulky.

I think my next boots will the the Motorfist stompers. I just wish they would put BOA on those things, they would be heaven then. 2 years ago I bought a pair of DC snowboard boots that I found for cheap (like $60) and they have BOA and it will be hard to not use them.

On the DC boots they are doing good for now, first season was tough because they have a tilt forward to them that you end up fitting all the time and my calves would be worn out and tired after riding from fitting them. Last year they must have loosened up cause they felt better.

HMK all the way, they are the driest boot I've ever had. The support they provide your ankles is unreal, and are a very light boot. I have a pair of the team lace ups and love them and also have a pair of the Voyager boa's. The lace ups have been through 3 seasons of riding, every Klim boot I had previous didnt make it one season. HMK is doing something right with there boot durability and design. I love mine, wont wear another brand of boot ever again.
