Well, i decided to build another 05 rmk 900 to add to my 900 collection.

I call this sled the Budget Build...even tho it didnt quite turn out on my budget like i planned...but then again, i kinda new it wouldnt when i started, LOL.

it all started with the custom chassis (tunnel/bulkhead), i bought the tunnel for $200 and he threw in boxes of other parts with it. So i decided to build a slightly modified 900 with the basic mod parts and upgrades that would get it strong and reliable, but be able to have as a buddy sled...

The whole "budget" statement became since i basically had like 2/3 of a sled in my own "extra" parts, parts that were given to me with the chassis and parts i bought cheap...

This doesnt include labor, powder coating or stress but...the gut crusher...the value of this sled is MODS ONLY, not even the sled, just parts. I priced every part under current retail cost if you were to buy every mod part on this sled, and i got $15,686.

I am leaving for Korea for a year in Feb, then going to Anchorage Alaska for 3 yrs after that, so i will most likely be selling this sled after this season (so i can break in the motor properly myself) for $6,000 if you are interested.

Any problems fitting the master cylinder/switch pod on the protaper bars?

Yes and no CROW..

The control housing is pretty big compared to the room for it and the grips..I had to file the inner edges of housing to make it fit...it was a pretty good pain in the a$$ but once it's done it works well..ull see the spot to file when u try it..both the button side and brake side need worked..

Side note on the sled for everyone..

I have about 100miles on the sled and this thing flat out RIPS!!! Handles great and the power is never ending!! I Wouldn't change a thing

just wanted to repost how this sled has been this season.

FREAKING AWESOME...has been flawless and the power is PERFECT...never a dull moment or hesitation, and probably my favorite 900 i have (of the 3) and this one cost me MUCH less to build, LOL...

but thanks for the kind comments and words and advice...i almost sold it 3x before i even rode it just to get some money but very glad i didnt...will be coming with me to Anchorage Alaska on my next airforce assignment this time 2014 ;)
