This is my other 900 i have...love this sled..been nothing but awesome, trouble free and good to me..

still need to:
Install Carls CYCLE 975 Big Bore this summer...need to order pistons still.
repair/install Timbersled Fixed steering post
get custom light weight jackshaft made with wave brake rotor.
replace left fender, new shock vents, new nose pan vents
repair gauge housing
powder coat skid rails black
SLP white exhuast valve springs

they are HOLZ...highly reccommended for the 159-166 rails...they keep the center from bending under stress due to the length...

polaris also makes a set of them...

holz does not show them on their website now, might call and ask them, but here is the polaris ones on ebay..have these on the wifes sled..

looks good guido. Should be a great sled when finished. From what i hear on here, you need a grill guard, Or better yet just a roll cage to protect you from the trees. HAHA
Also what ever happend to the rear motor mounts for the 900. can i still get them from you? If not were? your not to far away from me, We sould go on a late spring ride in Cooke City this spring. I go riding up there till July 9th the past few years

i appreciate it bud...did my miniscus in nov..that alone sucked...the ACL hurts like hell, im trying to take it easy, but its hard and i feel lazy, lol...

whats up bud...naw his sled doenst have much work to do on her...just the 975 install mainly...and some AVID drivers...and a few odds and ends..the 06 i am building is alot more labor intensize, but this one is not my prioity since i will be only using it when not on the 975 juice. lol...

small update on this.

--3 of the cylinder head threads on the MAG side cylinder are stripped out (from prior owner) so i am going to go with head studs..

--waiting for cash to send the pistons to swains tech coatings for the dome/skirt coating (about $100 total) and assemble the engine...AGAIN

--my ice age rails are at the powder coaters now getting coated in Glass Black...being done as a favor, so should get that back this week..

--going to powder coating alot of things bright red on the skid and throughout the sled (small parts) to get a little color on this baby...

--need to finish trail tank mod/install and assemble sled after powder coating and i should be good to go.

also hung out with Derek Fischer when I was in Utah over the 4th of July, he has a Carls 975 complete sled for sale (PM for details if your interested) that runs on pump gas...derek did a custom cut on the 975 head and with his Gen 3.5 fuel controller its a RIPPER, so since i have 2 975 heads, i will send him one to get cut for pump fuel...otherwise its a 50/50 Avgas/pump gas mix...which can get $$.

Got my 166 Ice Age Rails back from the Local Powder Coaters today, i always do my own work but this one had to get contracted out to my buddy since i dont have a big enough oven, and he didnt have time to let me do it at his shop....so i just traded some stuff for the work!! SCHWEEET...

came out awesome...

High Gloss Black...I will be powder coating the wheels, and torque arms High Gloss RED in the Skid to make it really POP!!!

finally got some time to work on my rear skid, sandblasting SUCKS...lol.

powder coated the torque arms and wheels in red, with some misc parts..i love how it looks...and of coarse I do all my own powder coating, so i am biased on my own work, haha!!

did the ski bolt washers, Holz Gas Rack, tie rods...will do a FEW more little parts on the sled but not too many so its simple and still mainly black...

got the skid installed and ready to rock...

i also finally got around to using a custom front cooler from VE that i got a while back, was gonna use it on the 06 900 with the VE tunnel, but since i have a giant double pass u-cooler i thought it would serve a better purpose on this sled with the stock rear cooler...should be a HUGE improvement over stock..
