Might do a road trip with the girlfriend this winter and bring the sleds. Open to ride anywhere on the western half of the state. Would like to spend a day in the Bend area, skiing, sledding, whatever and then head south and ride up to Crater Lake for a day. Where else would you guys go? Would like somewhere with some tree riding and meadows close to the trail, and of course some scenery would be good.

Also would be open to suggestions on places to get a REALLY good meal (dont mind going out of the way) :face-icon-small-hap after all, I think that is the main reason I like to travel.

Thanks guys.

Bend, Oregon
You have most the bases already covered, but consider Halfway, it isn't on the west side of the state but probably has the best riding in the state.

Be sure to watch the weather, most days you can't see 50ft, especially if you plan on riding to the rim of crater lake.

If you want a real Oregon meal check out the Cowboy Dinner Tree, they only are open fri-sunday during the winter and you need to book weeks in advance or many options in Bend for the tourist and Californian types.

+1 On the Cowboy Dinner Tree.
If you hit Bachelor, Diamond lake, and Crater lake you pretty much have it all. You could check out Paulina lake if you have the time, The lookout is awesome but the trail up can be a bit crazy if they haven't groomed recently.

Cowboy Dinner Tree looks phenomenal, will make that happen for sure. Hopefully we can find a day with sun to do Crater Lake. Halfway is on the list for a separate trip.
