Just wondering what mileage you guys have on your stock 05 crank and pistons.I replaced my pistons at 3100m they were ok and i have 3300m on crank so far so good.

Im around 3000miles. I know im over 2400. I tore my motor down to do some...."adjustments" and found that I was near the end of my chain with the pistons. Both had HORRIBLE scoring. Im honestly not sure how I didn't drop a skirt or something. Im just glad I caught it in time. It was never ran low on oil while I owned it. (second owner). Always ran the VES gold (never again but that a WHOLE different story). Its an 06 also.

what intake were you running? i know some of the front inlet boxes had issues with sucking dirt.
Some high mileage 6000 and 5800.So the question is why do some blow and some not,may be bearings,blowing belts at high RPM,clutch maintenance
