Mikuni jet needles

I need to know about a few mikuni jet needles, the 2002 700 rmk uses a 9DGJ02-57 and the 2004 uses a 9DGN05-57 My question is which is richer and how can you tell? BB454 posted a chart years ago that I still have somewhere but it doesn't tell me which way is richer. The '04 800 needles are 9DGN06-57 is this needle richer than the '04 700 needle? I know the '02 800 cylinders had no decompression hole compared to the '03 and up, are the '02 700 cylinders cast the same way? thanks for any help. Jay

I think I have a book at home that explains how to tell the taper and such of the needles... I'll look tonight.

The 02 700 and 800 cylinders didn't have decompression holes.

OK, I measured an '02 700 RMK needle, 9DGJ2-57 and a '04 700 RMK needle 9DGN5-57 The '02 is definately leaner, you can see it's thicker with the naked eye. I measured them both at .5" increments and heres what I came up with.

total length is 3 9/16"

@ 3.5 0.048 0.034

These measurements are the best I could do with a caliper and a tape measure, please don't bet your engines life on them but they will give you a rough idea of the different tapers on the two needles. Both needles had a step down @ 1 5/64" from the top, where the grooves for the e clip are at the top they are the same diameter til this step and thats where the taper starts. Maybe this can help someone.
Also should say both models used a nylon washer under the needle clip.

See if you can find out if it has the same neddle jets in them.
And i would assume the .048 is leaner than the .034
