M1000 injectors on an m8?

So looks like I'm just barely maxing out my duty cycle when I'm at slightly lower elevations (maybe 5500ft). Anyways if I get m1000s and put them in instead of my m8 injectors will they flow more fuel? And would they just directly plug in?
And does anybody have any kicking around for cheap?

It depends on what year your M8 is. 2010 and newer have the same injector connectors, but I have not verified if they are low or high impedance. That you have to know before you make the swap, otherwise you can end up frying injector drivers in ecu.

I would think you would be better off increasing the fuel pressure and then controlling the low end with a tuning box. Add 4 or 5 psi and that's a lot of fuel being added on every burst.

Yes, 2:1 regulator or higher fuel pressure would be the best choice. It seems that we get pooling at low end with the bigger injectors and you have to pull a ton of fuel on the bottom end with the controller to get the bottom end cleaned up.

But if I can find m1000 injectors cheap then whats the big deal? I just pull a bunch of fuel on the bottom and then its back to normal again? I feel like that would just give me more potential because then I can always bump up the fuel pressure later on and that would give me a lot more potential to turn up boost if I ever wanted to

Yes, the mid to top would be opened up a bunch for you as far as fuel possibilities go.

So just to be clear they would directly plug into my 2007 m8 injector hookups, and by taking away fuel on the bottom with my controller I would be able to clean it up? (I dont see why I wouldnt be able to)

They will NOT plug into the wireharness older then 2010.

Correct. The 2007-2009 M8 has low impedance injectors and the 2010 and newer M8 as well as the M1000 have high impedance injectors. The plugs are different as well as the injectors themselves.
