L'anse MI riding?

Me and a couple guys are heading up that way the secound weekend in jan is this a good place to stay and head out in all directions I don't really feel like riding the same trails everyday so want to be able to head different directions thanks or the input also and cheap hotels or motels around that area

Riding out of L'Anse or Baraga is sketchy at best. They get very little snow right in town, but once you leave the area, it's pretty good, probably 5 miles in any direction. Just a heads up on what to expect when getting around on your sled in town getting gas, etc.
