New to area and live half mile from lake mntka but do not have a trailer. Is it allowable to drive side streets to lake access? Or does anyone know of storage with immediate access to lake or trail? Shorewood, mn Thanks

I can't help you with your question, but want to give you a heads up. Minnetonka is a dangerous lake since it has so many channels. People die on that lake it seems like every year. If you're riding the lake a lot be very careful for thin ice around the bridges and channels especially.

You should be fine with riding through town to get to the lake. Also, you really don't have to worry about the channels until spring. They are frozen all winter long. You just hear about people going through in the spring or early winter when they are trying to skip the channels for fun.
