I'M LOOKING TO PURCHASE A CABIN IN SEELEY LAKE AREA DUE TO THE FACT I'M A AVID SNOWMOBILER, SIDE-X-SIDE, AND BOATING ON THE LAKE. MOST IMPORTANT IS THE SNOWMOBILING. ANY OPINIONS ARE APPRECIATED. THANKS.
Usually good snow. Lots of groomed trails. Lots of off trail riding.
Boating season (for skiing or water sports, I presume) is about 2 months if you're a softie. 5 months if you're tough and dedicated...7 months if you're crazy.
No the sledding sucks up there. no snow, crappy trails, no boondocking! haha actually its one of my favorite places, you just need to know where to go for the off trail rides. The water is cold, but the scenery around the lakes is awesome. not sure about sidexsides, but im sure its good, there are lots of logging roads. Good Luck. Check out clearwater montana properties, they have a ton of listings in the area up there.
Great place to live but not make a living. We have a second home there and the area is great. Check out greatbearproperties.com or contact kim@greatbearproperties.com
Anyone go riding in Seely today?? I'm planning on going up tomorrow to check out the snow and put some miles on. Thinkin about heading up towards Elsina. Anyone been up there yet?
Yeah we went up Sunday. Snow is pretty good but still need a couple more good dumps. Got off trail a little but had to be careful. It should be good after a few good storms. Let it snow!
We rode yesterday in the rain all day. It probably put down an inch of rain even up high. We went up towards elsina and it was rain all the way up top. Should give us a good base from now on once it gets cold by the end of this week. Now we just need some fresh! I'd say there's about 3 feet off trail of good heavy wet snow so it should freeze up and cover alot.
Rode Tuesday and Wednesday. Two bluebird days but about 0 in the parking lot. There is a good base and you can go anywhere. But really need a foot or two to smooth the lumps and cover some creeks.
