Can't decide on what to do with the secondary clutch.

Install the hercules helix and spring or update to the Team Boss secondary?

usually run between 1,000-5,000'

Thinking helix

I'm interested in the Hercules helix myself. Otherwise I might go with team secondary. This is for my 1100 turbo. Any thoughts on helix versus secondary on a 800 or 1100?

Im in need a different helix set up as well. My 44/40 is loading the sled to hard with 20/49 gears, I ride low elevation 100% of the time so far, I want this thing to rail 8300 on the hit lol im piped that's why I like 8300 for anyone who thinks its to high.

Whats the Hercules helix all about?

There's a really good thread on here about the Hercules helix. Search for it and you should get your answers.

I put the 911 cover on the drive and put a Hercules helix and spring in my driven rather than getting a team driven on my 8000.
I would not hesitate to make the same choice again. With proper belt deflection and correct belt clearance that can be adjusted with these bolt-ons, combined with the huge bearing area increase, Engagement and slow speed technical driving is as smooth as butter. Over all clutching is as smooth as any Polaris I have ever driven but still retains that instant hard pull that I so much enjoy when stabbing the throttle on a Cat.

I run the 44/40 with the stiff spring (green) because I only go West a few times and do not want to always be switching the helix. If I lived out there and rode exclusively off trail in soft dry powder I think the straight 36 and the softer spring would be better. I think for those who ride at lower elevations and in wetter heavier snow and the Springtime will like the 44/40 better.

44/40 is probably ok. I run theit purple spring too. Wanted the flatter helix for backshift.

Other option they currently have is a 40/36. What would be the advantage of the lower angle helix?

Seems like most are running a 42/40 at low elevation. Some ditch bangers are running a 44/40.

Think a 44/40 would shift out to quick for riding deep snow/tree riding?
I use my sled to access snowboard runs and we double up a bit on climbs. I think the 44/40 would be good for that, but might sacrifice some backshift. Especially riding Thompson pass where elevation starts to become a factor

You can't go wrong with the Hercules Helix, one of the best mods I've purchased.

steeper helix will upshift faster and backshift slower. i pretty much strictly climb technical stuff and want the fastest backshift i can get without sacrificing track speed

I need to do something with my secondary. What helix is working well with the tied?

All of the sudden my sled won't hit 70mph on the trail and backshift is sporadic, sometimes it's good and sometimes i can't hit 8,000. (Jaws pipe 8,400)
From a ditch i can hammer the throttle to pull a wheelie and sometimes it hits 8,200 and feels good, every once and a while 7,800 and feels like a 600.
In a climb it hits 8,100-8,200 and slowly climbs to 8,400.
