2017 non-Mountain Cat rails might have longer tips. Mountain Cat ones were shortened to clear the dropped driveshaft. 2017 Mountain Cat compared to 2018 or 2019 the difference is colors and shock packages. 2017 Limited and Mountain Cat came with Float Evol shocks and have a damping adjustment knob on the rear track shock. 2018 and 2019 Mountain Cat lost the Evol chambers but have a piggyback oil/nitrogen reservoir with QS 3-position damping adjustment knobs. Rear track shock has the locking feature.

No real difference. Slightly longer shock to accomodate negative spring and different shock valving. They added a wheel on top of the torque arm for when it compresses all the way. Other than that they will be the same. Even 16 is the same just different rails.

I thought guys who upgraded to the locking rear shock on the older skid needed the two links on the sides of the shock as well as they are longer.?

18 and 19 rear shock and link rod are different but will fit 16 skid if you change them together.
