Hiperfax w/ teflon melts at over twice the temps of standard sliders. If you don't run idlers and/or run your straps loose you'll need these even with scratchers!

Have a brand new set for Cat (fits nearly all Cats w/ 136-162 track and profile 2 including King Cat, Mountain Cat and all M series as they're 66" long so just cut to size) that I can't use so first $135 takes and that includes shipping (add $15 more to Canada). Let me know fast or she goes on E-bay and you won't find a deal on them like this anytime soon (they go in the neighborhood of $300 a set). And check my 100% positive e-bay rating; same user name.

$300 a set. Sorry. SLP has sold them for years @ $170. Also, it is carbon baised, not teflon. $130 is a good deal, though!

Hiperfax has always used PTFE = Teflon inserts; says right on the package. Perhaps you were thinking of graphite sliders Gonridin? Those do contain carbon which is a mild abrasive and the reason you wear out track clips faster with those sliders. Graphites last longer than stock HDPE sliders but that's the trade-off with them. The Hiperfax sliders are the only ones that REDUCE friction! They've been around for a while too. Still have a set on my '87 Exciter and they still look brand new. Speeds are increased due to less friction and yes, I've compared side by side and used to drag race so you all can believe what you want. They also claim better fuel mileage tho I haven't made any direct comparisons but it would stand to reason because of reduced drag. Who knows, with fuel costs as high as they are these dayz they could pay for themselves not to mention you'll never replace sliders again!

And no WW, they don't require fully clipped tracks. You simply use the buttons like SLP sells which further reduces track distortion and friction and should be used anyway, especially if you don't run idlers like most of us mtn riders.

And, FWIW, nearly every turbo Yami buildup is using these as nothing else holds up for those high HP sleds.

when the teflon slides came out years back we just had to test a set to see how good they were, running dry no snow the teflon heats and melts the plastic slide material that holds the teflons strips in place and 130 bucks in the tank. Oh well...............they worked ok on the snow, just no miracle.

There was another company making teflon sliders that had a similar issue and they're no longer doing those (imagine that). Me and my friends have run Hiperfax for over 15 years and have done plenty of grass dragging and have never seen that happen. Not to mention they'd be covered under warranty if somehow that did happen. To learn more go here: www.hiperfax.com
