Has anyone bent a 16 spindle?

I had my skis set in the skinny position & that's the direction the spindle bent, in & under. I wonder if the added leverage of the skis being in the skinny position had anything to do with it.

It certainly doesn't help things. I know the older BDX front spindles were more prone to bending if you had them set narrow. I always ran mine wide (ski centered on spindle) and didn't have near the issues bending them that some guys did.
