Rode on Sat. the 27th and it was excellent. Better than we thought and a perfect ride for breaking in the new motor. We did about 40 mile loop and almost all was on untracked trails and roads. Ran into the Jeeps as we came down out on a lower road below the snowpark. We missed the turn at Windy Pass in the blowing snow and stayed right. Light traffic but lots of cars and yahoo's in cars up the road for some reason. BMW was stuck on the Matterhorn and sliding backwards. AWD and street tires will do it on that hill.

Tips for the newbies 1. If your the first rig up the hill or next to the last. Think of the next guy with a trailer and give him a place to turn around or park. Some jack weed parked in the middle of the lower lot pretty much blocking the whole lot and making it hard for newbies to turn around. Several rigs parked very lower early on Sat. New wear bars for you.

Tip 2 If you have no idea how to pull a trailer or drive off the mountain
pull over and let the parade pass you please. You an F up and a
hazard when guys with chains on are passing you. Let them by
and go back to your 5 miles an hour. And don't come up when it
really snows especially on the weekends. Come up and learn during
the week and practice.

Tip 3 Buy some real f ing tires if you plan on playing in the snow. Those
50 series all-seasons are fine for the mall! You are going to die
with trailer on top of you. Even saw a trailer with 40 series which
looked like it was riding on the rims. Of course he also had the
under powered tow rig with street tires that was doing 5 MPH
coming off the hill with and enclosed pushing it all over the road. It
was more wet than slushy at the end of the day. Yes you were
the Grand Marshall and that was 20 rigs behind you.

Doesn't look like any fresh coming for a while so going for elevation and remote tomorrow. Thinking Lake Ann or someplace remote. It is going to be cold all week up high. Watch the frost bite.

Went Sunday. Lots of new snow. Meadows were fun. Berm on the road at the snow park and the gate is shut. Rode over the other side and that is burmed as well at the snopark at little naches.
The road in was snow packed and 1 lane plowed. On the way out it was plowed and looked to be salted. WHY!!!!! Please sand it, please.......... It will be a rink this week I'm sure.

Went up yesterday 12/30. Road is beat up bad, no grooming as usual. Needs five more feet of snow to do much off road riding.

Holy whoops! What is the grooming schedule supposed to be up there? Thought for sure that they would of had it done for the holiday crowds. Nope. He was just starting this afternoon. Snow is pretty hammered up there. Not much left that hasn't been beat up. We definitely need some more. Still a fun day to get the sleds out and work them muscles that have been in relax mode for several months.

Gonna go up tomorrow morning, it's snowing up there right now and should thought the evening, hoping for at least a few new inches.
