First ride all season at my favorite place in the Sierra's. Full parking lot, but no tracks into Spencer or Wades Lake. Did my usual loop, put 50 miles on the sleds. Snow was windblown in many areas, but good coverage out there but need more ( look at pic of chute at lower Spencer). Good snow down in Wade's but best snow (powder) was found up at Deer Lake. Always happy to hit Gold

Looks awesome. Gold was a favorite of ours. Ride all day and not have to spend any more time in one spot than you wanted. Because there seemed to be endless areas to ride and explore. Thanks for sharing.

Yessir Raymond, Gold was pretty good on Sat. Met the Nevada City crew at the Salmon Lk. turnoff, went across Salmon and up to Deer Lk., then took the ridge over to Gold and then across the Hwy to the Church Meadows area. Snow was a little thinner on the Eastside. Said our goodbyes. I headed back to the Graeagle side and they hit Tamarack Lk. on the way back to Bassetts. Said no one had been up there. Lots of rigs parked at both spots. Nice bluebird day, good snow -- that's what it's all about. Still need another 2-3 ft. to cover things up better.
