This weeks crew of Flatlanders have struck it again with fresh.

The dry spell for West Yellowstone and IP has finally ended. Yesterday went from blue bird to snowing and blowing at elevation. Town picked up 4 plus inches while the ridges are showing 7 and 8 inches on the snotel sites.

Our crew this week is 22 deep from MI and WI. There are a few green horns getting their mountain legs, check back for some stuck photos:face-icon-small-ton

Here are a few shots from riding and one from the SW 40th party

Of the four sledding pictures, I see snow on the trees in only two of them. Looks as bare as the Kootenays. I'm thinking 6-8" isn't going to cut it. All of the west needs a good 2-3 feet of the white gold!

I'm glad your crew enjoyed the trip. When you come from no snow to that snow, it is a good time!

Your correct, more is needed but we are making the best of it. However, we are like any good house wife...happy with some lubrication and 6-8 inches.:face-icon-small-ton

Here are some photos from the ride yesterday. I had a short day due to chain case cover failure. The rest of the guys battled the freezing fog and low advisability, making the best of the fresh snow.

What will it take for you to consider coming out way in Colorado?

Cheers,

Our next adventure is to Lava Mountain Lodge on Togwotee Pass, then we hit the Big Horns, Apline, Togwotee, the Snowy Range, and then Cooke. This season is already laid out and booking up. I am interested in finding out more about wildskies for next season.

They are getting the hang of it. Let it all hang out and dig out after the chaos. There are pockets of untouched snow with varying conditions.
