Doo or Poo?...

Still have a few days to decide what to order...I'm on the fence yet. No seat time on the new doo, did get to see it live. Currently ride a pro, and luv it.
The new doo looks sweet, feels a lot more like the axys chassis then the previous chassis.
Kind of interesting when you look at the 2 together. The doo approach angle is way steeper(wheelie machine)....
Overall, they look really similar when you start comparing the 2.

Doo made a game changer for sure...any other poo, or cat guys making the switch??
I don't think a guy could go wrong with either...

If your an action Tree rider and dangler get the poo.
If you are into big long climbs above the treeline, get the doo.
If you are a sit and watcher but like to look like to the part of a good rider, a poser shall we say, get the doo.

I bet this new Doo will be similar to the axys in its ability to sidehill and ride the trees. That being said, the Doo is an all new chassis, engine, and clutch so........

I checked a new Doo this year, can't wait to compare it to the axys next season.

Only thing I can add is that the doo's approach angle is not as steep in person as it is in the pictures. Also if your financing Poo has better rates. I swapped from Poo to Doo...

have you ridden an XM ? did you feel comfortable with doo steering ?
thats the biggest rider comfort thing some folks feel good on both others can't seem to make the switch

how are the dealers in your area ?
thats a big one especially with a first year sled
in my opinion

I was on the fence also..
Went with the Doo again..
1 reason---> 36" wide ski stance
Cant tell you how many times Ive been caught in the tightest
Trees..
And why are trees exacly 36" wide? Not sure..
Gets my Cat and Poo friends cursing tho! :)

I spent all day Saturday on a stock 15' 174 T3. Spring snow, ZERO issues washing out, I was VERY impressed with every aspect of that sled. Not sure if its the difference between the Xm and the T3 or what, but this thing is an absolute animal. I will be purchasing one this week and selling the Poo.

Performance wise, a toss up maybe a slight edge to Polaris but for me the advantage is the new motor and clutch for ski doo. Time will tell but this motor could turn out to be a very high mileage motor and clutch too. That alone gives a big advantage to ski doo. I like the axys power being very quick off the bottom, fits my riding style but I'm still leary concerning longevity on their motor. I can't afford to trade in every year like some.

The axys hollow crank shaft has a bomb inside it...
Tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick

Lol There have been enough guys with lots of miles this summer for me to say this isn't true. Not one crank failure. I personally put on nearly 1100 which is a record year for me and haven't done anything but gas and oil, two belts (I fried one when my throttle stuck and I grabbed a handful of brake), and one clutch spring

So far the reviews (non Doo staff) aren't indicating the 850 doing anything special, or doing anything better than (almost) keeping up with the Axys. So if Ya like doo...buy doo...and if Ya like Polaris, buy a Polaris. Performance sounds like a wash and most people aren't good enough riders to exploit either sleds limits anyways.

If you like to walk buy the poo. Cause chances are you will be walking back to the trailer when the motor goes. There only good for about 1800 miles.

I agree with any of the top sleds will make you happy but I have had a lot of Polaris Pro RMK and Axys guys ride the new Summit and they are pretty blown away by it, of course it is very hard to get a guy of his personal machine and flow easily into something different, and that is why I have been very impressed with the feedback. I am not hear to convince guys that they need to switch brands, but I do enjoy the honest feedback most riders give right off trying the sled and they say it is a bit more impressive than your eluding to. If polaris added this stuff to their machine you might also say it was a game changer.

Dave, i can not commend u enough. U put up with a lot of crap from people on here and u keep such a positive attitude and keep on posting good info.

I remember when chris burandt was on here, he only lasted a week or so and got tired of the people's crap and left.

U are a true ambassador of this sport. I hope skidoo is paying u what ur worth.
If not, show them this thread and tell them "I said they need to pay u more" lol.

Thank u.

I am sure it's a great machine, but I will let the reviews on hear so far speak for themselves. I have not seen anyone using "blown away" in their vocab, even diehard Doo guys. Even Snowest has the Axys outclimbing the Doo...their words not mine. The Axys is also a very good sled to those open to pol, and has been super solid for a first year sled...so it's not like Doo is going up against an easy kill. It'll be a very good sled, even if it's "only" as good as an Axys with a small hp advantage.

Now that said...these sleds are so good these days, I'm not sure the average rider really knows what improvements they're looking for anymore when it comes to a test ride/review. It's like an average dirtbike rider comparing a 2015 450sx to a 2016 450sx...Ya its way more bike, but what does that mean to the guys who could barely hang on to the older model? I'm beating that comparison to death...but it's good IMO.
