08 M1000, Diamond Drive acts like it is getting stuck between gears, just removed cover took a look at things, replaced cover, added new Cat oil. Shaft to switch between rev & fow was a little rusty between orings, lubed & put back together. Now acts like it is sticking, anyone else have or heard of this before????? Thanks in advance.

Sticking?

Were is it sticking?
Belts not to tight is it? I have seen to tight of belt cause shifting issues also the rusty shaft cause them not to shift witch happens the first of the year after sitting all summer.
When you opened up did you inspect all the gears? was there any metal?

Opened it up

When I opened/took off cover I didn't find any smoking gun type of metal or anything out of the norm, did see shaft was rusty between the orings, lubed & put back together. Now it is not acting so good. will a diamond drive get caught between gears & lock up won't move? That happened to me, layed it on it's side rocked the track back & forth then it unlocked & would move.

Rusty shaft

That rusty shaft is what normally causes that but you could have some gears wearing out have play in them or missing teeth. I would probably do a better inspection.

Can you manually shift it between forward and reverse successfully with the servo motor removed? Usually the problem is the servo motor.
