Deep Snow Bag Strap Fixes

I saw on another forum guys having nylon straps made but wanted to share my own.

Not sure how many others have had issues with the crappy straps on the deep snow bag, but here’s a few home fixes I did after I ripped a strap off the bottom and a strap on the lid.

Some 1” nylon strap, some standard Velcro, soldering iron, hot glue gun and short torx bolts, washers and nylock nuts, original bag buckles but will probably get extra 1” ones for the future.

I got extra straps and hardware as I assume the rest of the straps on top will rip too, so when that happens I’ll just burn more holes and torx new straps on!

The double fold pocket under the lid let’s everything fall out so I hot glued 1” Velcro to each side, not too pretty but works great.

Dave I bought a first run bag in October had this issue. Just got my second bag beginning of feb rode 5 days and sure enough day 4 broken strap buckle and strap. Why didn’t they put the normal nylon straps like the bags they had before?
also I hope they cover this again. Pretty sure pricey for it not to last a season. You’d think it would last 2-3 seasons

I did almost the exact same fix on my atv bags and even replaced a broken handle on a piece of luggage with a wide nylon webbing strap. Works great if you dont get it warrantied.

The main diff on mine, I added a piece of abs plastic on the inside below the washer to spread the load and prevent the washer from cutting into the fabric.

I have had several for over 2 season, nothing to do with the strap, but the stitching, those bags could be of the same run, yes warranty. We know the numbers for warranty vrs how many bags are out there, so not guessing here, cheers dave
