Crank noise?

I bought a 2017 Assault 800 with low compression. While the top end was apart, I checked the rods for movement. Everything seemed solid and no discoloring.
I put it back together and when I started it up, I noticed the clutch side was noisy, almost like a piece of plastic was hitting against it. When rocking the clutch back and forth, there is a slight knocking sound. I pulled the clutch off to see if it was the clutch and the sound is gone at idle, however I do notice if I rock the crank back and forth, there is still a slight sound. Almost as if there is play on the rod and piston. Or maybe the waterpump or oil pump gears as it's moving?

My question is, does that sound normal, or am I looking at a crank bearing?
