So we had reservations to stay at the Cooke City Super 8 on February 4th for 3 or 4 nights, they where the last two rooms available there. On the morning of Feb 2nd we had to back out of the trip so I called and canceled. I was told over the phone the week prior that If we canceled we needed to cancel Sunday February 1st or the very latest Monday Feb 2nd AM to issue a refund. While looking over my credit card statements I noticed two charges for the first night of $93.50 each. Cooke City Super 8's official policy is 72 hrs notice to cancel. I was more like 53 hours before check in. I just called in to see if they could issue a refund, and they said no. So in going forward....
1. Cooke City Super 8 strictly enforces there cancellation policy
2. In all my years of traveling and snowmobiling I have never gotten a charge like this for having to back out of a rsvp with more than 24 hrs notice.
3. I won't try to stay there again
Cheers
