I need to replace my connecting rods while building my 860. I was thinking of Hot Rods and then saw that SPI sells rod kits as well. Anyone have insight on either product? I am hoping for at least 180HP out of the engine when its done.
Who are you using for crank work? There is a guy locally that does cranks but my buddy just got rolled for $160 to install 2 connecting rods on his crank-Seems a bit steep for 2 hours or less of work.

Hot Rods work great, been using them for quite sometime on the 800 twins. The SPI pistons flat out work, don't have any experience with the SPI rods though.

Sounds like your buddy got a deal at $160 to put on two rods and true crank.....
