Changing Chaincase Oil on 2008 XP

Amsoil chaincase lube, $7/bottle Skidoo $17/bottle

I cleaned all the bolts by running them through an 8mm nut and tapped all the holes on the chaincase to clean them out. Probably good Idea to replace them.
Unless your in canada i think its over 30 buck for doo oil.

I think the service manual calls for replacing the bolts. Personally I clean the tapped holes with some WD and a q tip, then clean bolts with wire brush. When installing, I just start the bolts and then in a criss cross pattern go finger tight. Then criss cross to half torque, then a final torque, which I think is only like 7 ft lbs. Dump in a 12 oz bottle of your favorite beverage, then 12 oz of oil in case. Personally, I use whatever I have lying around. Doo, maxima, Amsoil, Mobil gear lube...... whatever, they all work. It's just a chain. Keep it oiled and your fine.
