Rabbit Ears and Grand Mesa both got hit with considerable snow in the last few days. We were seeing upwards of 3-4ft in places the last couple days towards Buff Pass. Heard similar statements from friends on GM.

More snow this week, Grand Mesa likely has less traffic.

Stay in Kremmling,30-40 minutes either way to Grand Lake or Rabbit Ears.Allington Inn(I've heard they have a snowmobiler special if you ask).I live close so I day ride to both.
Either way you'll have a great time.

Both places have great snow (it's snowing now in Grand Lake!), they both benefit from the same storms. 'As the crow flies' RE and GL are only about 30 miles or so apart. I like the idea of riding both, although staying in GL and driving to RE (about an hour) might be more fun. Kremmling is a hunting/ranching town and a little rough around the edges sometimes. No offense to Kremmling, GL is just more of a tourist town. Good luck.
