blue marble oil ?

D
i have been told that if you run blue marble you cant run anything else if that is true do all the people that run it tear there engine down and clean all the old oil out and flush the oil resivoir tank pump and lines ? which i do understand you dont want to switch brands of oil every time you ride can any one help me with this ?

No worries...

Empty your oil reservoir.....as low as you can go without getting air in your oil-lines.

Then just fill the tank to the top...and you're good to go------------

No worries..........just don't take it too far down where you could get some air in your oil lines.....you'd end-up with a whole new set of issues.

: )

I poured Blue Marble into my 1/2 full oil resevior and never looked back.

You will know you are burning the Marble when your plugs come out white:)

Blue Marble Oil Questions

So how good is the Blue Marble Oil? What is it comparable with and what does it cost? Is it a synthetic? and why is it possibly a issue with mixing it with other oil? Does it have a rust inhibitor for power valves or VES?

From my own experience its the best oil I have ever ran. Runs clean and works. I have saw a 800rmk get hot from running out of water and it barely scored a cylinder and scratched the pistons. Still did but not as bad as other oils Ive seed.

I ran my sled out of oil and it seized. I put blue marble in it and it ran like it was on nitrous all the time. forget the big bores. blue marble is all you need. I pulled the top end apart and the blue marble had bonded to the cylinder walls and pistons to fill in all the score marks from the seizure. Top end still looked like new.
DO NOT MIX BLUE MARBLE.
I ran low one time and put some redline in and it seized before I even started it.

:rolleyes::D

I wouldn't run it in a new AC, did last year and smoked the motor first ride, no mixing just straight marble.

I am not very smart, but I have a ?. How the hell did you seize your moter before you even started it. Thats dumb.

Yes Badass, you are an an azzhat, In order to seize a motor you must create heat, sorry, just fact. It sounds like blue marble is like buying a mechanic in a bottle? Wow I can't wait to run down to my local miracle dealer and order me up some of that chit, It's just average oil guy's, sure it works, but it does not perform miracles, it will not fix burned down or seized motors:rolleyes:

Guys, take another read of it and look at the smiles at the end of his message. He's OBVIOUSLY joking.

I've been running it in my 03 Escape because the guy I bought it from did... no worries so far. It's about the same price as Polaris blue last I checked. And no, it's not synthetic.

This thread is dumb. Cobaltpilot got it. I don't see how any one could of thought my post was serious. :D

I ran blue marble for a year in my m7 with no problems. I also mixed it several times without any problems. I have mixed lots of different oils and not had a problem.

I see post's all the time where people think some $50 a gallon oil is some miracle oil and every thing else is garbage. The miracle oil made their sled run better, got better gas mileage, and the engine lasted 3 times as long. That was the sarcastic point I was trying to make in my first post on this thread.

Dang you Badass! You suck.

I thought you were serious so I sold the NOS on my sled and bought a case of Blue Marble.

Blue Marbel oil- I've torn down a M1000 with blue marble run in it from day one and the crankshaft had a thin sludge film on it that was hard to remove. After the rebuild I switched it over to Amsoil interceptor and so far it looks clean as a whistle, Tore down my mod motor which is three years old(watercraft 1200) ran nothing but premix interceptor and you could eat off the crankshaft. Just my opinion and real world experience.

I've used blue marble off and on since it first came out. It's all my buddy uses, and we have never had an oil related failure. I have noticed though on engine tear down that there seems to be excessive blow-by on the pistons below the rings of an engine using blue marble. It seems to glaze the cylinder walls with an almost waxy type coating and not let the rings completely seat.

free tip - take a gallon of blue marble and put it in a paint shaker for 15 mins before you add to you machine....the tiny Thermo blue marbles added to this mineral oil will start to break down after 10 min of shaking…then the next 5 mins is when the process of thermo cryogenics starts and end…this thermo nuclear process will insure maximum engine protection, trust me:beer;

I thought I was the only one that shook up my oil :cool: I use APV though it doesn't go thermo nuclear :eek:
