Bjp vs gsp

Yeah i've heard talk of GSP moving up a weight class also, dumb move if you ask me. I don't think he has a big enough frame to fight 185 and be as dominant as he is at 170.

Fitch also put on a dominant performance even though dana white is a little b!tch and put one of there top fighters on the undercard.

And didn't someone call GSP a quitter sometime leading up to this fight?

That was a good interview. He seems like a down tho earth guy. But a down to earth guy who could rip my arm off and beat me to death with it:D

Truely impressive performance by GSP (who i cant stand). I think that loss to Matt Serra was the best thing to ever happen to him, he used to have some questions about his heart and mind, not anymore. The size and strength difference between the two is simply too much. BJ has to bulk up to a soft 168 at fight time and GSP cuts from 185 and is right back there by fight time. 30 pounds of muscle is too much to counter, even if you are the best Ju-Jitsu fighter in the world (which BJ arguably is). The way GSP switched from guard, to side control, half guard, mount, and back again against BJ was simply amazing to watch. Until that point, no one has ever done it and you wouldnt even think it possible. I really hope BJ sticks to 155, there are actually some pretty good fights there for him (Florian, Faber, and now Diego Sanchez). Alves vs. GSP should actually be a good fight, Alves is bigger and stronger than GSP and a better striker. Only problem is GSP is the most complete fighter in the UFC and once he gets you down on the ground with his freakish wrestling, its OVER.

GSP going up to 185 actually makes sense. There really arent any fights for him at 170 anymore, and there really arent any fights for Anderson Silva at 185. Give GSP 6 months and he could easily bulk up to around 195-200 and have a decent cut to 185. Anderson Silva I think would rather go up to 205 and hold two belts though, bigger challenge for him there, only problem is there are tons of already good matchups in the stacked 205 class. Personally i have a different hope though, if there is a god in heaven, Siva will go back up to 205 and get rid of the stain of Rashad Evans.

silva gsp would be an awesome fight, so would evans and jackson but i don't think we will see either of em

Evans is lucky to be where he is and he won't be there for long.

I'm stoked to see another anderson silva fight, he didn't seem that dominant in the cote fight so I'm curious for his next fight. But I really don't want to see GSP fight silva, part of the reason GSP is so successful is his huge size for the 170 class. If he steps up he will be average or smaller than most and will give up speed due to the added muscle on a smaller frame. I don't think he will win against silva.

What do you guys think of Lyoto Machida? He dominated his opponent on Saturday and from what I saw he would give anyone a run for their money.

Thoughts?

I'm with you 100%

GSP's loss to Matt Serra was the best thing to ever happen to GSP....

Spyder vs. Evans Would be great....

Thialgo vs. GSP Great....

GSP vs. Spyder Priceless.....

Watching GSP train with Reshad Evans I couldn't even tell that GSP was in the lighter division......

GSP is the future no doubt!!!

:beer;

Of course, now i find this thread.

I think its funny BJ talked all kinds of trash, and then the towel gets thrown in, LMAO. I cant believe he actually thought he could hang with GSP in conditioning.

I would like to see BJ drop to back to 155 where he belongs, no more excuses, and fight Kenny Florien(sp). I think that would be a good test for Kenny. Or maybe even Diego Sanchez

Of course seeing GSP fight Silva would be great. I would have to give strenght to GSP but I think Silva is just as a complete fighter if not better then GSP. Add that to a huge reach advantage. I would have to give the edge to Silva. A very slight edge, could go either way.

Evans vs Jackson, oh yes it will happen and soon, probably with in the next 8 months. Depending on how things go between Jackson vs Jardine. Is Evans a cocky SOB, yea. But to say he is lucky to get here he is, come on now. Give credit where credit is due. Serria got lucky when he KO GSP, what happened the second time?? Evans has beat some pretty big names, Stephan Bonnar, Jason Lambert, Michael Bisping, Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin. And he should have beat Tito, it ended in draw.

One fight that I am suprised no one ever talks about is the possiable match up of Check Congo vs Gabriel Gonzaga. I think that has the making for GREAT fight.
